Te Kapunga Dewes
Te Kapunga Dewes is the CEO of PF Olsen taking over from Peter Clark in September 2018. PF Olsen is the leading independent forestry management services provider in New Zealand and Australia, managing 300,000 ha and harvesting around 7.0 million m3/annum.
Te Kapunga’s background includes significant experience in forestry, harvesting, and distribution having had positions with Forestry Corporation and Fletcher Challenge Forests (FCF). Following these, he moved into the wood manufacturing industry with FCF and Carter Holt Harvey culminating with site management at Kopu Timber and Particleboard plants in Thames. Prior to joining PF Olsen, Te Kapunga spent the last decade in national and international general management positions, successfully growing businesses in the manufacturing and industrial services industries with Visy and Contract Resources respectively.
Te Kapunga speaks fluent Maori and has a NZ Certificate in Forestry from Waiariki Polytech, a degree in Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury, and an MBA from Waikato University. He is currently a board member of Ngati Porou Forests.
